Speed: Modem speeds vary from 300-56,600 Bps. More common speeds include 14.4 and 28.8, 56.6 Kbs. The faster the modem, the more it will cost.
Many people think that if they buy a cheaper modem they will save money. But in the long run, a faster modem will save you money. If you use an online service, you will use less connect time, and you can upload and download information faster.
